Dynapath delta 20 program

DynaPath does not recommend nor endorse any particular PC communication program for transferring data via a serial port to or from the various control models. How do I connect to the serial port on my control? What is the pinout of my serial port? Can my control drip feed Buffered Input?

What steps do I take to drip feed to my control? CNC Controls. Dynapath Delta 20 Conversational Programming Question Gentlemen, I am having a problem with the subroutine conversational program in my Delta 20 controller. After calling up a 7 for subroutine, I input f30 and l49 for first and last block and am getting a "execute error" message. When I looked up "execute error" in the manual it points toward a bad format. I followed that block with a 9 for end program but no help. When I hit the "run" button on the control, the program runs fine.

It just won't run the machine. Anybody else had this problem? For what it's worth, I am widening a slot and trying to drop the cutter down and repeat the sequence to widen the slot on a deeper plane without having to code all the moves.

It looks pretty straight forward but I must be missing something. Thanks in advance for any help. Big B. If all you're doing is dropping down incrementally in Z to widen the slot, why not use the rectangular pocketing event? Post for us some of the code still in the machine, even if you must transcribe it by hand.

There's LOTS of help here, and post-processors are easy easy! Isn't that just a foolish waste of code space in an already limited machine? WHY would they do that? Oh, well, they did. Now you deal with it. I am going into the shop today to put the spindle motor back into the mill. I will transcribe it out since my drip feed computer is the one with the CAM on. But yeah, the way they did the control ad the code for this thing is really odd and kind of annoying.

But it still has a mic and earphone ports on the side of the machine for recording programs to tape, so I am not surprised. Once I start feeling ambitious I might do a retrofit to Linux cnc or to Mach3 but I just need to get this thing up and making parts so I can make some money with this sucker.

AdeV Droid Posts: Have a look at either of the Heidenhain post-post processor vbscript macros see appropriate thread , these have line number generators in them. The G-code version even adds the "N" for you Once you've got CamBam producing sensible codes, your post-post processor is likely to be pretty simple stuff. I started by hand-coding some Heidenhain code, the last program I ran had 15, lines in it CamBam made that one, I hasten to add!

Does anyone on the list use a Dynapath control for this type of work? All thoughts welcome; things to look out for, experiences with replacement part costs, etc.
