E mail alert gadget windows 7

I started this discussion because I then noticed that you can "View list of running gadgets" this is supposedly somewhere in Control Panel, but I can't see it there -- it shows up if you search "Gadget". The list shows "Clock" as still running -- even though it doesn't display.

And if you repeatedly attempt to add the Clock gadget to your desktop, the list of running gadgets shows multiple instances of Clock running. Isn't now just a hidden -- and therefore worse -- risk? Although I haven't drilled down too deeply, you can see the amount of memory assigned to sidebar. If Clock is the only gadget that has been dragged to the Desktop even though it doesn't show , sidebar.
